A penthouse like-space occupying the top two floors of a commercial building, the apartment was designed to cater for a growing young family. The lower floor accommodates an open-plan living area, kitchen, and dining room as well as a multipurpose room which can be used as a study or children bedroom. A spiral staircase connects it to the upper floor, which houses the master bedroom and a small rooftop garden with a glass-bottomed pond. The apartments’ large openings and double height volume in the living and dining area gives it an airy atmosphere. The glass-bottomed pond brings light elements to the heart of the space, blurring the boundaries between the indoors and outdoors. The interior is designed in Scandinavian style, with muted palette and timber flooring, answering the clients' brief for a simple, yet stylish interior.
